Possible delivery delays and service suspension during the 2019 G20 Summit

Thank you for your continued support to SF Express.
The 2019 G20 Summit will be held from 28th – 29th June in Osaka Japan. During the event large-scale traffic restrictions will be in effect from 27th – 30th June and tighter security measures are expected in Kansai International Airport (KIX), Osaka city and surrounding cities. You may refer to the website of Osaka Prefectural Police for more information.
As a result, there may be delivery delays and export service disruption to all shipments to be imported / exported via KIX airport from 27th – 30th June.
* Shipments coming into Japan via KIX:
SF Express will provide the usual delivery service, but please kindly be aware of possible/likely delays of 4 – 5 working days because of the traffic restriction.
* Shipments sending from Japan via KIX:
SF Express will provide the usual pickup service as well, but please also note that air transportation may be delayed after pickup. We suggest customers to prepare shipments and deliveries in advance of the G20 summit to avoid possible delays.
* Affected areas:
- Pickup and delivery service available areas: Nishi-ku, Naniwa-ku, Tennoji-ku, Chuo-ku and Kita-ku.
- Pickup only areas: Higashinari-ku, Ikuno-ku, Joto-ku, Miyakojima-ku, and Fukushima-ku.
