With development of the internet industry, more and more people now prefer to shop online. According to certain sources, over 50% of the population in Malaysia now shops online. In order to promote the e-commerce industry in Malaysia, in 2018, the government will invest 4 million MYR to help e-commerce enterprises with their marketing efforts. Also, with the “One Belt One Road” initiative in China, the cross-border e-commerce industry in Malaysia is expected to grow at a higher rate.
Malaysia is a country with an abundant supply of natural resources and unique products. East Malaysia in particular attracts many tourists every year who visit and purchase local products. “E-commerce is trending nowadays, and logistics plays a crucial role for e-commerce companies. Additionally, the number of tourists has been increasing exponentially over the years, and a significant portion of these tourists are from China.
