The KIX Gateway was initiated by the two parties in 2018 and finally came to completion on 17th April 2019. “Our cargo volume between Japan & China has been growing rapidly over the past 18 months, driven in part by the growing cross border e-commerce market and increasing demand for B2C deliveries. The dedicated Gateway allows us to serve our customers in Western Japan much more efficiently by cutting transit times by up to a day and by streamlining communication between our partners.” said Simon Truss, General Manager of SF Express Japan.

This development is the latest strengthening of the relationship between SF Express and JAL, which began in 2018 with the introduction of an Interline Agreement to collaborate with SF Airlines on the daily KIX – Nanjing flight.
