Kindly Reminder on Shipment Transit Time Affected by the 16th Typhoon (Tapah) of the Year

According to the yellow typhoon warning issued by China’s national observatory on September 7: 

The center of Tapah, the 16th typhoon of the year, was on the coastal surface north of the South China Sea, approximately 495 kilometers southeast of Dianbai District of Maoming, Guangdong Province at 5:00 a.m. of September 7, 2025. Tapah is estimated to move northwest at the speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour with increasing strength and will make landfall on coasts from Zhuhai to Zhanjiang of Guangdong Province (severe tropical storm or Typhoon, Beaufort scale 10-12) from the early morning till midday on September 8, 2025. After landing, the strength will decrease. It is estimated that there will be heavy rain to torrential rain in Fujian, Hong Kong, Hainan, Guangdong, Guangxi and so on and there will be downpour in part of the areas.

Affected by the weather, shipping service suspension information has been issued by the Qiongzhou Strait. It is estimated that the traffic capacity of airports may be reduced and part of the highways may be closed. The transit time of shipments in and out of the alerted areas will be affected to certain extent.
