Kindly Reminder of Transit Time of Shipments Affected by Recent Abnormal Weather

According to the weather forecast of National Meteorological Center, from January 23 to January 27, there will be rain and snow on a wide range and cold wave in China.

From January 23 to January 27, it is estimated that there will be medium to heavy snow or sleet in Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Hebei, Tianjin, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, He’nan, Anhui, Hu’nan, Hubei, Sichuan and Chongqing. Meanwhile, there will be snowstorm in south of Shaanxi, south of Shanxi, west of Henan, northwest of Hubei, northeast of Liaoning and east of Jilin, and there will be freezing rain in part of the mountainous areas and northwest of Guizhou.

As the cold wave process meets the peak of returning home during the Spring Festival, the weather will affect the traffic during Spring Festival travel to a large extent. As the snow in areas such as Shaanxi, Shanxi, He’nan, Hubei, Liaoning and Jilin are heavy, there may be frost in the mountainous areas. The risk of accumulation of snow and freezing is high, which may lead to traffic jam or traffic accident.

Affected by the weather, highway may be closed the traffic capacity of airports may be reduced. The transit time of shipments in and out of the alerted areas will be affected to certain extent.
