The National Meteorological Center issued a blue typhoon alert on August 6, 2026. The center of this year's 13th typhoon, "Super Typhoon Dolphin" (severe typhoon level), was located over the northwest Pacific Ocean at 8:00 a.m. today, approximately 1,300 kilometers east of Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is expected that "Super Typhoon Dolphin" will move west by north at a speed of 15-20 kilometers per hour, with little change or slight strengthening in intensity. It will pass through the Ryukyu Islands during the day on August 7, then enter the East China Sea, gradually approaching the coast of East China. Affected by the typhoon, regions including parts of Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Liaoning, Henan, Zhejiang, Fujian, Gansu, Yunnan, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, and Hebei will experience heavy to torrential rain and strong winds, with some areas facing downpours or extreme torrential rain.
