A Kind Reminder Regarding the Impact of Typhoon No.19 “Narra” on Express Transit Time

Dear Customer:

Hello!

On August 22, the Central Meteorological Observatory of CMA issued a blue typhoon warning. As of 10:00 a.m. today, the center of this year’s 19th typhoon, “Narra” (tropical storm-level), was located approximately 30 kilometers south of Dongxing City, Guangxi, over the waters of the Beibu Gulf. It is forecast to begin moving slowly northeastward then northward at a speed of 5-10 kilometersper hour starting during the daytime on the 24th, gradually weakening in intensity as it approaches the western coast of the Leizhou Peninsula in Guangdong and the southern coast of Guangxi. Additionally, a tropical depression in the East China Sea will move rapidly northwestward at a speed of about 35 kilometers per hour with little change in intensity. It is expected to make landfall (as a tropical depression) along the coast between Dongtou and Zhoushan in Zhejiang Province during the night of the 22nd through the early morning of the 23rd, after which it will continue moving northwestward and rapidly weaken until it dissipates.

As a result, some areas in Guangxi, Hainan, Guangdong, Fujian, Taiwan, and Zhejiangwill experience heavy to torrential rain and strong winds in the near future, with localized extreme downpours. Delivery times for packages to and from these regions may be affected; please make arrangements for your shipments in advance. Our company will also closely monitor weather changes and traffic conditions, coordinate the allocation of emergency resources—including personnel and transportation capacity—and do our utmost to ensure the smooth and orderly transit of parcels. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by these unusual weather conditions and thank you for your understanding, support and patience!
