HS CODE for EU ICS2 Imported Goods

We would like to inform you about the implementation of the second phase of the EU (including the UK) ICS2 (Second Generation Import Control System). As part of this implementation, it is mandatory to submit accurate security declaration information for your goods in an electronic format to the EU (including the UK) customs before importation or transit.

To ensure a smooth customs clearance process and avoid any potential delays caused by incomplete commercial invoice information, we kindly request your cooperation in providing us with the complete and accurate commercial invoice for your goods in an electronic format. Please include the following information:

1. Detailed description of each item of goods:

  • The description of each item should include the "commodity name," "intended use of the commodity," and "constituents of the commodity." For example, "Women's T-shirt made of 100% pure cotton."
  • Please refrain from using generic descriptions such as "gift," "toy," "sample," "spare parts," "home appliances," "clothing," "textiles," or other vague terms.

2. Provide the international Harmonized System (HS) CODE for each item of goods:

  • Please provide the international Harmonized System (HS) CODE corresponding to each item of goods, at least the first six digits.
  • Obtaining the complete import customs tariff classification number for each item of goods will further facilitate the import customs clearance process.

The international HS code is defined by the World Customs Organization (WCO) and can be obtained by referring to the "Taiwan WTO and RTA Center (Customs Tariff Inquiry System)" to access and retrieve the latest international HS CODE.
